What is Young Voices?

Young Voices is a brand new project, started to engage youth in singing, music, and harmony.  The goal is to connect young people with the artistic leadership and other groups in the community.

Ages 7-13

Where? St. James United Church, 306 Parkside Drive, Waterdown (Google Map link)

When? Wednesday evenings, 5:45pm-6:45pm, May 1 through June 19 inclusive

Cost: $40 (includes t-shirt, music, learning tracks - financial assistance is available)

Performance: Sat Jun 22, 2pm, Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington

Artistic Director - Jordan Travis

The founding Artistic Director, Jordan Travis is the guiding force behind many musical ensembles and projects in the Halton/Hamilton area. Music and teaching are his passions, especially vocal music.

Jordan’s training led to a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from University of Toronto.  While there, he studied with some of the finest teachers in vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, and choral conducting. A talented singer, decorated performer and impactful coach and educator, Jordan has provided workshops, coachings, and performances around the world including being on faculty for BinG Harmony College, BABS Music Director's Academy, Harmony College in Holland, the Association Of British Choral Directors, and Harmony University in Nashville.  He is also the current Artistic Director of the Harbourtown Sound, A Cappella Showcase, and Golden Horseshoe Choruses.
